Happiness Happens Month endorses positivity and the many ways we feel happiness in our lives. Happiness tends to be overlooked amidst daily routines and stress, the rapid pace of society and its demands. This month we take a step back to embrace happiness, to focus on the little things that make all the difference, spread happiness to others through random acts of kindness, and appreciate the moments for what they are!
Certain activities can bring out joy in people, helping ease any mental troubles and kickstart a healthier lifestyle. From our Self-Expression Initiative program, we induce such happiness towards our audiences, ensuring they take time to enjoy and feel happiness without fear of judgement. This program consists of participation in drum circles, creating and performing written poetry and original song pieces. Self-expression is crucial for the minds of adults and the youth alike creating happiness when our communities are given the space to be their true and authentic selves.
